Brett Eldredge Becomes Hall of Fame Family

Brett Eldredge became the first new artist to receive an honorary “Friends & Family” membership into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The honor was given to Brett on the evening of his tenth Grand Ole Opry performance, which featured his new hot single “It Ain’t Gotta Be Love.”

You can catch Brett on tour throughout the rest of the year. His next tour stop is Saturday in Washington at the Washington State Fair. For a full list of tour dates see his official site.

Carrie Underwood blew the roof off of the iheartradio Music Festival in Las Vegas on the weekend, and with a new hair-do too! Rascal Flatts surprised fans at the iheartmusic festival in Las Vegas on the weekend by bringing out British pop singer Natasha Bedingfield for a live version of their hit duet “Easy.” Billboard had an exclusive red carpet interview with the boys and Natasha at the iheartmusic Festival before they hit the stage. Rascal Flatts will enjoy some downtime for the first time in a while, before releasing a brand-new studio album next April and embarking on another Summer-long tour. Expect another new single from Rascal Flatts soon, who are to become the newest members of the Grand Ole Opry in October.

We had the chance to speak with Dave Barnes, a talented singer-songwriter who considers himself to be a songwriter first. His name has become popular with country music fans as the writer for Blake Shelton’s current single “God Gave Me You,” but he’s also friends with Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott.

Martina McBride To Sing Anthem At NFL Game

Martina McBride has been announced as the National Anthem performer for the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets football game on October 2nd, 2011. Her performance will be broadcast live on NBC at 8:30 pm EST. The game serves as the first in the Breast Cancer Awareness games that the NFL is putting on throughout the month of October. During October, NFL Breast Cancer Awareness games will have a special football with a pink ribbon decals, pink equipment worn by the players, pink coins used for the coin toss, pink goal post padding, and even cancer awareness jackets for the cheerleaders on both teams.

Julianne Hough Makes Nashville Lifestyle’s Most Beautiful

Nashville Lifestyle magazine released its list of most beautiful people and Julianne Hough made the final cut. Julianne, a sometimes country artist sometimes dancer sometimes actress, stars in the Footloose remake out in theaters everywhere tomorrow. She’s also the cover girl for the issue out in stores now.

She’s Country Tour with Heidi Newfield and Bridgette Tatum

Heidi Newfield has made a name for herself as a solo act with songs like ‘Johnny and June,’ after having left the group, Trick Pony. Bridgette Tatum is an amazing artist in her own right, most known for the songs that she has written. The most common one being Jason Aldean’s ‘She’s Country.’ Well, these two singer/songwriters are taking that song and going on tour. The She’s Country Tour, sponsored by Pendleton Whiskey kicks off November 2nd in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dates and more after the jump.

McClymonts To Make Second Opry Appearance

Australian country music trio The McClymonts are getting ready to perform at their second-ever Grand Ole Opry appearance on September 30th. The girls had their first performance at the historic venue on September 9th. They’re hot from the success of their native Australia and are trying to break-out now in the heart of country music with the invitation to perform for the second time this month, and second time of their careers.

The McClymonts are Australia’s hottest all-female group right now, and they released their debut album “Wrapped Up” in North America back on August 23rd. The album was featured in USA Today’s Pick of the Week article on August 22nd. The album was produced by Taylor Swift’s producer, Nathan Chapman, as well as Adam Andlers from Glee. It outsold Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw and even Kenny Chesney in Australia.
