BREAKING: Steel Magnolia Member Enters Rehab
Joshua Jones, one half of duo Steel Magnolia, has entered rehab to battle substance abuse tonight. In a message posted to fans on their official website, Josh announced the news to enter treatment for both alcohol and substance abuse. Good luck in your battle, Josh, and we wish you the best.
To all of our fans and to those whom it may concern, God has been on my heart to announce and make public that I have entered a rehabilitation and treatment facility to address issues related to alcohol and substance abuse. Hundreds of thousands of people in the world struggle with these battles daily, therefore I am sincerely grateful for all thoughts and prayers at this very poignant juncture in my life and career. I would also like to thank my family, friends, record label and management team for being so supportive and having an active hand in my recovery process. Thank you and God bless. –Joshua Scott Jones
Meg performed a few shows on her own this week before the news, citing an illness for Joshua’s absence from the performances and several show cancellations. The group is scheduled to perform tomorrow night in Tulsa at 8 pm.
