Just in case you haven’t heard the news, or track, yet, Kid Rock has recorded a duet with Pistol Annies member Angaleena Presley. The “Holler Annie” recorded a new version of Kid Rock’s “Care” which is out at radio now. This is the third version of the single, which previously featured Martina McBride and Mary J. Blige for different takes on the song. Angaleena’s version is the one that made it to country radio as a single, however.

In 2010, a group of friends got together in Australia and wanted to make a new sound for Bluegrass; one that merged alternative Aussie music with the sound of Nashville. Mustered Courage was formed and one year later the guys have released their debut album on Laughing Outlaw Records. They’re part of what they call the “newgrass” scene – a mix of traditional sounding bluegrass music with alternative rock. Check out their cover of Seal’s “Kiss From A Rose” – it’s good! Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Looks like Trace Adkins has caught a bit of the acting bug. The musician and author can now officially add “actor” to his resume as he’s joining the cast for the movie “The Healer.” He’ll star alongside Isabelle Fuhrman, Joel Courtney, James Le Gros, Peter Bogdanovich and Natalie Dyer. They’re already filming in North Carolina for the thriller film. “The Healer” was written and is being directed by Giorgio Serafini and is being produced by Smile Production.
The movie follows the story of twins Nick and Michelle who head out on a camping adventure with their father. That’s when things go wrong and they get lost in a forest that has pretty much no escape.Trace will play the role of “The Truck Driver” who drives souls to hell, whose rig is a prison with no escape for eternity.
This isn’t Trace’s first acting gig this year, as he starred earlier this year in “The Lincoln Lawyer.” He just released his tenth studio album on Showdog-Universal “Proud To Be Here.”
