Kenny Chesney’s August 28th Date Rescheduled
Kenny Chesney’s team just posted a note on Facebook six minutes ago that his August 28th show at Foxboro’s Gilette Stadium has been moved to August 26th. It’s the last weekend of the “Goin’ Coastal Tour” and he was worried about fans’ safety with the hurricane warning from Hurricane Irene. It was a joint decision by Kenny, his team, and local officials. Kudos to the Kenny team for thinking of the fans first after the stage collapse two weeks ago.
“Our first and foremost priority is the fans’ safety,” said promoter Louis Messina of TMG/AEG Live, “so we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the show.” All tickets for Sunday’s show will be honored on the new date, and the line-up and set-times will remain the same. There will be no show on Sunday, August 28th.
“I want the last weekend of the ‘Goin’ Coastal’ Tour to be a great expierence for everybody. But I also want it to be the safest experience for everyone,” said Chesney. “I’ve always said Foxboro is a highlight of our tour, because the fans are ready for a great night of music and fun no matter what night it is!”
If fans are unable to make the new date, full ticket refunds will be available from the point of purchase. All tickets will be honored on the new date.
