Keith Urban Helps Gives A Hand To Habitat For Humanity
Keith Urban’s “Get Closer World Tour 2011″ stops in Knoxville, Tennessee today, and a good performance isn’t all he’s giving out.
Urban presented the keys to the newest Habitat for Humanity house earlier today. This is the second of ten homes that will be built on Knoxville’s “Music Row”. Last Fall, Urban performed at the Charlie and Moll Anderson Family Foundation Benefit concert, which helped bring in over $250,000 for Knoxville’s Habitat for Humanity.

When the new homeowner, Regina Olum, found out that Urban was handing her the keys to her new home, she was very surprised to say the least. Here is what she had to say.
“I think I screamed when I found out it was Keith Urban. I’m a huge Country music fan – and of Keith Urban– and it is very exciting for me.”
Adds Urban about the experience:
“It’s a real honor to be a part of this for Regina. It’s a beautiful thing when a house becomes more than walls and a roof but a place where memories are made.”
You can catch Urban with Jake Owen on his 2011 “Get Closer World Tour”, which I will be seeing for myself in two weeks. I personally cannot wait, and hearing about this story only makes me love Keith even more than I already did.
