Jason Aldean has announced plans today to donate all proceeds from his Roanoke, VA concert to charity. His September 30th, 2011 show will benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation as part of his 6th Annual “Concert For The Cure”. The concert was picked specifically for being the night before Cancer Awareness Month. Fans can purchase tickets starting August 26th from LiveNation or HomeTownBankTix.com. Fans who can’t attend are encouraged to make a donation to the cause through Jason Aldean’s official website.
“Breast cancer is something that’s affected me, my family and just about everyone I know,” said Aldean. “Last year, we took the benefit on the road and raised a lot of money in Evansville, Ind. It was such an incredible night! I love looking out and seeing all the pink tshirts in the crowd…it’s amazing what we can do and how much money we can raise when we all come together for this cause.”
The charity concert is part of Jason’s “My Kinda Party Tour.” His headlining tour takes the rising star across North America to sold-out venues. Chris Young and Thompson Square are the special guests on the tour.
Jason recently celebrated the platinum success of his “My Kinda Party” album. It remains country music’s best-selling album of 2011.
