Colt Ford Benefit Raises $85,000 for Police Officers

Colt Ford recently held a benefit concert honoring the memories of two police officers who had been shot in Athens, Georgia. The “Colt Ford And Friends” benefit show raised over $85,000. The event also included a silent auction, private reception and performances by some of his famous friends in support of the policing community. Officer Tony Howard was seriously injured in the shooting, and Officer Elmer “Buddy” Christian fell in the line of duty.

James Otto, Dallas Davidson, Jason Aldean, Rhett Atkins, Edwin McCain, and Brantley Gilbert were some of the special guests who were part of the charity concert.

“I want to say thank you to all of my friends who helped us have such a special night in my hometown. To all the artists who joined in to perform or who donated items to help raise money, y’all are amazing, and I am thankful to call you all friends. This could not have happened without y’all.”

Pictures from the evening will be posted on Coltford.com.
