Wal-Mart Breaks Street Date of Two Albums Week Early

Uh oh. Someone’s going to be in trouble for this mix-up. While Chris Young’s “Neon” and Blake Shelton’s “Red River Blue” aren’t supposed to be for sale until July 12th, looks like someone at Sam’s Club and Wal-mart missed that memo. A Shelton fan first tweeted that they had found “Red River Blue” on the shelves of an Oregon Wal-Mart, and Shelton himself took care of business:

@blakeshelton: “@ChadRClaussen: blakeshelton new CD at Walmart. Was pretty sure it wasn’t out till next week? twitpic.com/5mc5tt” Ha! Ha! Oh well…

@blakeshelton: Ok… Its still supposed to be released on tuesday but I guess some may have put it out early. Unlike my first girlfriend…

@blakeshelton: Anyway I’m sure they’ll stop by morning. So Tuesday is still the day!!!
Fans responded to that tweet from ten different states reporting they saw it in Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club. Chris Young fans even chimed in when they saw “Neon” for sale early at the same locations. I think someone’s going to get a talking to in the morning.
Have you spotted either album for sale early? Where did you see it?
