Tim McGraw might be in the middle of a court battle with his record label, but that’s not slowing down his career at all. After being critically acclaimed for his roles in “Blind Slide,” and “Country Strong,” McGraw has signed on for another movie role. Although it’s a smaller role than his previous flicks; McGraw says it is still a “pivotal role” in “Dirty Girl,” a new-age comedy based on a girl in Norman High School.
IMDB reports that McGraw’s character is called Danny. Dwight Yoakam also has a small role in the movie as Joseph.
“I can’t really say [what it is] because it’ll give away too much of the story. But it’s a really, really good movie. It’s funny. It’s got a lot of heart. It can make you laugh and cry. It’s got all those great things in it.”
McGraw will be featured in the film along side Milla Jovovich, Mary Steenburgen, Juno Temple, and William H. Macy. “Dirty Girl” will hit theaters on August 5th, 2011.
