No release dates for their CDs have been set quite yet, but according to AInow.org, American Idol’s Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina have picked producers for their upcoming albums. McCreery has picked Mark Bright for his CD, while Lauren has chosen Byron Gallimore for hers.
Bright has produced albums for artists such as Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Sara Evans, Rascal Flatts, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Danny Gokey. He is the former CEO of a Christian music label called Word Records.
Gallimore won a Grammy for producing Faith Hill’s album “Breathe” and has worked with other big name artists such as Tim McGraw, Sugarland, Martina McBride, Lee Ann Womack, and Brooks and Dunn. In 2006, he launched a label called StyleSonic Records with Tim McGraw.
While Scotty and Lauren had a very busy month of June with recording and attending CMA Music Festival in Nashville, they are set to record songs for their debut CDs this month.
