Scotty McCreery is a big tease

Scotty McCreery is gearing up for the release of his debut music video for “I Love You This Big.” His first single as the American Idol winner was a record breaker: the highest-charting debut for a new artist in over a decade. He’s given fans a small, little sneak peek into the video, but just enough to tease without letting you see the whole thing. We have that teaser from Access Hollywood under the “read more” button.

Shane Drake was the director for the video. Drake has worked in the past with Timbaland, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Flo Rida and many more artists. The country videos in the past were for Laura Bell Bundy (“Giddy On Up”), Darius Rucker (“History In The Making”), and Brantley Gilbert (“Country Must Be Country Wide”). Fans looking for the California native’s style for country music should go take a quick look at those three videos, since the pop music video style is much different. McCreery says his video is based off of the “Fourth of July” and will be a “chill BBQ.”

“I Love You This Big” was the song written for McCreery for the finale of American Idol. Both him and runner-up Lauren Alaina released singles on the country chart after the show finished for the season. It was the first time in Idol history that two country music artists were in the finale competing for the title.
