Reba’s son Shelby Blackstock Gets Racing License
Even though her son, Shelby Blackstock, is a licensed race car driver, Reba McEntire isn’t going to join him inside that car again anytime soon. Shelby took part in the Ford Racing High Performance Driving School at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah last weekend, and now he’s an officially licensed driver.
A local ABC news affiliate got the chance to talk to McEntire and her son about his dreams of racing, and how two times was enough for McEntire to sit in the passenger-side seat while he drove around a race track. He wants to one day be in the Nascar race, which Narvel Blackstock and mom McEntire fully support and plan on helping him get there. Blackstock isn’t yet ready for the Nascar races, but he’s ready to start building those first few steps to eventually get him there. Good luck Shelby!
“His dad and I are really proud of him. Every time we get together we’re like, ‘Here’s our game plan … this is what we need to do.”
