Blake Shelton’s Still Number One

Blake Shelton’s new record, “Red River Blue,”  is the number one country album and number one overall seller the last week on the Soundscan 200. His new studio album sold over 116, 403 units in its opening week.

The album also had a multi-week #1 lead single in “Honey Bee.” The new single from the album, “God Gave Me You,” enters Mediabase country singles chart at number 43. “God Gave Me You” is a cover of a Dave Barnes single that Shelton heard in his truck after a fight with wife Miranda Lambert, and found himself inspired to record the song.

Chris Young’s “Neon” is the second best selling country album this week. It also reached number four overall on Soundscan with 72, 830 units sold during its opening week. You can catch Young on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on July 27th at 12 am EST for a performance of the title track from his album.
