The Band Perry’s If I Die Young gets Certified 2x Platinum
The sales just keep coming in for one of the biggest breakout singles in country music the last year. The Band Perry’s hit single, “If I Die Young,” was certified double platinum by the RIAA for sales exceeding 2 million. “If I Die Young” has been one of my favorite songs of the last year, and helped earn the family trio an opener spot on Tim McGraw’s Emotional Traffic Tour.
“It’s been an amazing year! ‘If I Die Young,’ has an inspirational message that so many have embraced and we are humbled that it has impacted so many people. This is truly an honor,” said The Band Perry.
The Band Perry is performing as part of VH1’s Save The Music Songwriter Music Series tomorrow in Nashville, Tennessee. Tickets, which are $75 each, are still available for the event here. VH1’s Save The Music Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to restore musical education in classrooms across America.
