Miranda Lambert: New Record is “Different”

In an interview with The Tennessean, Miranda Lambert admits her new solo album will be different than Revolution, and that she is trying to reinvent herself this time around.

The Pistol Annies is very housewife and raw and real country and my stuff is my stuff, I have everything from old country to rock ‘n’ roll. I’m excited. I think the new Miranda record, it’s different, but I think that’s what I have to do. I have to reinvent myself to keep it going.

Just like Revolution, Lambert recorded the still-untitled album in a week to keep the creative juices going. She then went right into the studio to work on her album with the Pistol Annies. She also goes on to say how she wants to have a long lasting career, and to do that she needs to change herself album to album.

Fans should still expect the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend to have some “old country to rock ‘n’ roll” on her fourth album. What are you expecting from Lambert this time around, and do you think she’ll still have the same success with a different sound?
