Blake and Trace Teaming Up Again
Looks like Trace Adkins hasn’t had enough of Blake Shelton’s Hillbilly Bone after all. As of thirty minutes ago, Trace announced that he will have a brand new duet, titled “If I Were A Woman,” with Blake on the deluxe edition of his brand new album, “Proud To Be Here”, in stores August 2nd. If it’s anything like the boys’ sense of humor, it’s going to be a must-download.
Trace and Blake had a year of success with “Hillbilly Bone”, which originally appeared on Blake’s first six-pack of the same name in 2010. It earned the Oklahoman his first ACM win ever for Vocal Event of the Year, then went on to even earn the pair a Grammy nomination this year. The two then went on to win the 2010 CMT Collaborative Video of the Year award, and the CMA Vocal Event of the Year award. Blake also picked up his first ever male vocalist of the year award with the CMA’s after being nominated for the first time.
Blake also has three other duets this year: “Don’t Drink the Water” on Brad Paisley’s “This is Country Music” is out now. He also recorded a duet, which was first reported here, “Red River Blue” with his wife, Miranda Lambert, on his brand new album out in July. Blake will also be featured on Lionel Richie’s new country duets album for a remake of “You Are.”
Blake will also be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno show for an interview on Wednesday night.
What do you think this song is going to sound like? Are you excited?
