500 Fans Treated for Heat Illnesses in Nashville
150 country music fans were treated for heat-related illnesses in Nashville today, according to The Tennessean.
With both the Bonnaroo music festival and the CMA Music Festival on in Music City during the 90-plus-degree temperature, the numbers will only increase tomorrow for the final day. Local hospitals and paramedics have treated approximately 500 fans of both festivals from heat exhaustion. Last year there was only 400 people treated from heat-related illnesses in Nashville between both festivals.
If you’re in Nashville this weekend, don’t forget to pack light and keep a water bottle with you all day long. You might not feel dehydrated, but your body will need the water this weekend with the crowds and high temperatures in the area.
If temperatures stay in the mid to upper 90’s tomorrow, it will be the fifteenth consecutive day of 90’s.
