Taylor Swift Raises $750,000 with “Speak Now…Help Now”
Saturday night was a big night in Nashville for Taylor Swift fans. Fans showed up at Bridgestone Arena from all over to see Taylor’s dress rehearsal for her upcoming Speak Now 2011 World Tour and help raise money for tornado victims in the South. Lines starting forming outside early in the morning, more than a day before the doors opened. 100% of proceeds will be put towards the tornado victims.
Two of the songs from the rehearsal were streamed online via Ustream for those who couldn’t attend. Over 10,000 people watched the live stream, in which Taylor performed “Mine” and “The Story of Us.” Those watching online were also given the option to donate. $750,00 was donated alone in just ticket sales.
Be sure to get out this summer and go see Taylor on tour, the production looks incredible!
