Miranda Lambert pulls out of West Coast Country Music Festival
The promoter for the 2011 West Coast Country Music Festival sent out an e-mail today announcing the cancellation of the festival for this year. The local country music radio station ceased to exist and turned into a talk station, and snagtickets.com sent out an e-mail to ticket purchasers this week announcing the cancellation of the event. Due to the last minute changes, and with Lambert pulling out of the festival, they were unable to secure another headliner on such short a notice. They are planning the event for 2012 to make it up for the Californian country music fans. Lambert’s next California date is August 21st, 2011 at Rancho Mirage.
A note from the Promoter:
It is with the utmost disappointment that we must inform you that this years West Coast Country Music Festival has been cancelled. Due to circumstances beyond our control, Miranda Lambert has decided to withdraw her participation. While intensive attempts have been made to secure a leading Country music replacement performer, with such short notice and the demise of our radio partner, it became an impossibility. We are however planning on putting on a West Coast Country Music Festival in 2012. “
