Fans Will Determine Pistol Annie’s Fate
In a recent interview with Abilene Reporter News, Miranda Lambert said that fans will determine the fate of her new solo project, the Pistol Annies.
“For now it’s just a fun outlet for me and my friends to have some fun,” she tells the Abilene Reporter-News. “We will let the fans decide if they want to hear/see more.”
The Pistol Annies made their debut on ACM’s “Girls Night Out” special with the song “Hell On Heels.”
“We’ve been writing songs like crazy, and I always wanted to do a girl project,” Miranda explains. “It’s not your typical girl trio. We definitely have an edge. [laughs] We sing a lot about housewives.”
Miranda Lambert fans have no need to worry about her abandoning herself as a solo artist though. Miranda is still working on songs for her upcoming solo album.
“I have been writing for the next [solo] project, but it’s still in its infancy, so too early to tell what will happen,” she reveals. “I guess just take it one day at a time, to keep everything in perspective. I try to focus on the writing part and let my team figure out release dates, but I know we are hoping to have something out before Christmas.”
