Brad Paisley Not Cut out for The Voice?
In an interview with US Weekly, Brad Paisley admits that he’s one of the few country artists who haven’t yet tuned in to NBC’s The Voice in support of tour opener Blake Shelton. He says he would never be able to fit in on a reality television show, and that he would “probably hate it.” Shelton is set to open up on select Summer and Fall dates for Paisley’s H2O II: Wilder & Wetter mega-tour. “I haven’t actually seen ‘The Voice,’ but I would never do it. I would probably hate it. I’m not cut out for that since I don’t enjoy making commentary and I don’t enjoy the process of evaluating other singers. I cringe when I hear a bad singer. I was one of those people at one point and sometimes still am. I’m just not comfortable doing it. Compared to Blake, I am more afraid to say what I think.”
The Voice was just renewed for a second season on NBC with all four judges, including Shelton, returning. They start filming the second season this Fall. Catch Shelton and his fellow judges, Cee-lo Green, Christina Aguilera, and Adam Levine this Tuesday at 10 pm EST on NBC.
