Cancelled Sugarland concert will cost $225,000
Sugarland’s concert in Tuscaloosa, AL was forced to be cancelled by the town’s mayor before the tornado hit last week, and could cost the city $225,000. The country duo had shown up to the arena they were booked to headline and had to be paid for their appearance even if they did not perform. Mayor Walt Maddox is planning on using the city’s reserve funds to pay for the duo, and is looking into rescheduling the concert for a later date. A makeup date has not yet been announced at this time.
